James S. Cowen, ICP, has worked with many different
non-profit and for-profit operations in North America
and Europe. Repeatedly observing how countless hours are
spent trying to process smaller to multi-tier
transaction volumes (usually defined as under 10,000
daily), it became apparent that typical methods and
technologies are outdated, overpriced and ineffective.
The founding of Aqubanc brings together
powerful features found in higher volume check, imaging
and forms processing operations to help non-profits and
organizations excel with donor/gift posting and
electronic check depositing. Stewarding resources
enables non-profits to better serve their constituents,
their donors and fulfill their missions.
Since Aqubanc's inception, the company
has built relationships with hardware, software and
service providers to make each Cheque 21 System
affordable and reliable. Each of these relationships has
made it possible for non-profits to achieve savings
without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
For example, Aqubanc collaborated with
PalmettoTech to build 2500M to make the flow of data
from the entire transaction, the check and Reply Device,
along with images easy to post into Raiser's Edge
(developed by Blackbaud). Before this collaboration, the
choice was manual data entry or placing unfriendly
barcodes or long OCR scan lines on the Reply Device.
PalmettoTech built the product and Aqubanc is the
exclusive worldwide distributor. It is the search and
delivery of these types of solutions which have been
lacking for non-profits in their quest to be more
efficient in gift posting and depositing.
